18th century Drunkard's chair on brass castors with upholstered seat and padded arms, c. 1760. The finely turned spindles and swept back arms give this wide chair a graceful look. At first glance the wood looks like mahogany but is, in fact, a dark fruitwood - probably English cherry. The upholstery is recent and the castors are replacements but the woodwork is all in original condition.

Measurements:  Total height 90 cm,  seat height 46 cm, seat width 64 cm   (36" x 18" x 25")

Price   £385
