Good quality early 18th century burr walnut bureau, c. 1720, with a well and stepped interior. Sitting on bracket feet it has a cross-cut waist moulding and the veneer is herringbone inlay. The veneer is on oak and the drawers are oak lined. The ends are veneered in walnut but this time on pine. The fall has a working lock and the small door also has a key. The brass handles looks to be period with the piece the top two bails are replacements.
