George I  walnut kneehole desk circa 1720. This desk has a really lovely top with quarter cut veneer, feather stringing and crossbanding. The veneer chosen has been oyster cut, and unusually, the middle door is also quarter cut veneer. Above the door is a small drawer. All the drawers are oak lined and most of the handles are original (2 old replacements).  It has walnut veneered sides and is altogether a really smart desk.
