Enclosed chest in good order.  Made of oak with snake wood veneers to the drawer fronts, ebonised mouldings round the drawers and split mouldings. The handles inside the doors are original iron, the handles on the drawer fronts are later, but of the right period. Circa 1670 - a great survivor.
